SUMMARY

From model to award winning, international freelance photographer, Baroness Danuté's intoxicating memoir/travel logues leap through an upstairs European childhood she left behind to enjoy a lifetime of adventure and travel while never giving into fear or the status quo. Her thirst for living life to its fullest, moment-by-moment, takes viewers on a journey of passion filled with men, money and many of our world's indigenous peoples, endangered species and disappearing landscapes.  Simply said, the In the Moment series, is a memoir filled with life.

AUTHOR

When they tell me I can't go there... I'll be there!

Capturing the moment from around the world is my passion!

No situation is too challenging for me – I love it all!

The world is my dance floor, wherever I am.

I just keep dancing through each moment, capturing shots of a life time, never to be repeated again!

You must live life to its fullest or you’re not living life at all.

AUDIENCE

In the Moment serves memoir readers with a cross-over to travel audiences. “The general desire to travel isn’t waning, it’s growing,” says Georgina Dee, publishing director at DK’s travel division. “What changes is where people are going.” (publishersweekly.com, Where Do We Go From Here?: Spring 2017 Travel Books by Sarah J. Robbins, Jan 20, 2017) Said, Pauline Frommer, copresident of FrommerMedia, in the same article, "You never know what will influence people.”

Travel Writing in narrative nonfiction is up 28% according to publishersweekly.com, Travel by the Numbers: New Travel Books for 2016, Feb 12, 2016 article that featured Travel publishing expert and author, Stephen Mesquita who said, ... after years of decline, the travel category is on the upswing for the first time since 2007, with an increase in print unit sales of 2.7% for 2015, compared to 2014. Mesquita noted that, Travel writing... posted the biggest gains of any subgenre in 2015, but that category is a volatile one: a couple of bestsellers can have a huge impact on the entire year. Much of this year’s jump can be attributed to Rinker Buck’s 2015 travelogue, Oregon Trail, and the conventional and movie tie-in editions of Bill Bryson’s A Walk in the Woods.

NOTHING HAPPENS UNLESS WE MAKE IT HAPPEN

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,

but by the moment that takes our breath away.

Her blue eyes gazing like a cheetah ready to pounce.

I don’t know the meaning of fear.

I’ve always been a rebel.

As a child, I would fantasize being an explorer
discovering new lands with wild and exotic people.
However, my parents felt it more appropriate
to have me study ballet and equestrian riding.

Desiring more than an aristocratic life, the entrepreneurial beauty transformed a modeling career into a world travel ticket. But it wasn’t enough for her.
I want drama. I’m impulsive.  I don’t look.  I leap.

And leap she did, into the import-export business with millions all the way to the bank followed by another leap into photography.
